I like the painting and it looks like a cleaned up photo and the rendering looks fine accept I can see where you experienced some difficulties with the hands. I use photo references myself and often times I will find myself amending hands and feet because the camera often distorts the image and flattens it out . but I do like the vintage feel !

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and critical input. The original photo was greatly scratched and damaged by light and fly spots. I did decide not to correct anything to preserve the appearance and realism of the photo on display, especially since I believe that she wore gloves, so I filled the damaged areas similar to the surrounding. :o)

This is an incredible digital painting, it really is, it actually presents as an old black and white photograph! It's impressive to view the details,tones and tonal variations you digitally applied here! She's a beautiful dark haired ballerina, in a beautiful graceful pose! Thank you very much for your encouraging review. I had to invent a few details at the costume and the background because the old photo had light damage by in places, scratches and fly spots. :o)
