I didn't know that egret's feathers spread out like that. So, this is an interesting to view photograph. It is the heart of nature and is a great entry to the contest. The image has an initial impact and is interesting to view. Nicely done and good luck in the contest.

Thank you so very much! Their feathers only do this during the breeding season. It is the male, trying to win his mate.

A very nice shot that shows the mating display quite well and also shows the kind of crowded conditions at the rookery. A well composed shot with good exposure for the white plumage.
