Yes I read English writer Bulwer Lytton's historical fiction work, The Last Days of Pompeii. The pink shade of this photo almost makes me imaging that the ghost of the fire spitting mountain still hangs in the air... Thanks for sharing! Daphne Oberon

Nice image full of color that captures the early morning hour. The faint shape of the mountain in a haze creates a good setting for the shot. The silhouetted boat adds a focal point for the viewer and sets a level of scale for the shot. Well seen.

Nice photo, I like how the whole scene is just bathed in this rose color. There's an unnatural surrealism about it that I think the viewers can enjoy. Keep up the really good work.

A striking image. The composition is simple and elegant with the moored sailboat perfectly placed. I am a little conflicted about using a "sunset" preset and then claiming no mixed media. I think that whoever formulated these categories did not have a basic grasp of digital imaging. In any event it is simply beautiful.

I take all my pics in raw, processed within the camera!!!
whatever goes out is sooc; once in the computer, as usual I only crop and of course reduce the size to fit FAR

The coral color of the sky and it's reflection on the surface of the gray water is so befitting an area with an active volcano. I like the soft look the distant fog creates over the gray blue volcano. The anchored sailboat with untrained sails shows how calm the sea is.

A stunning pink sunset colouring the sky that is then reflected onto the bay of Naples with the silhouetted outline of Mount Vesuvius seen on the far side of the bay through the mist rising up from the sea with a solo yacht sailing in the bay. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques,
