This is a lovely look at this elderly couple enjoying their time on the beach together. The fact the they're holding hands shows that they're still very much in love after all their years together. The way you painted the water and sky is beautiful.

I want to tell you how to improve it but I keep looking at it and it makes me want to be her with him! I adore this. The colors are true to a beach. But there is something surreal about the perspective that I cannot describe, only enjoy. Thank you for sharing! Kat

A nice idea and story picture. The colours reflect the seaside and give a true atmosphere of summer at the coast. The figures hold well together look a bit younger than 80+ but certainly affection comes through.

When I started in photography there was only black and white. That makes me pretty old, but I still get around; kind of like these two. A nice perspective with great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

You know Linda, this is such a poignant reminder that we will all be here one day, if we make it that is. In Mexico I see many older couples steadying each other as they walk along the beach allowing the gentle waves to wash their feet. A great and unique entry for the contest and I do wish you well in the voting Linda ~ Steve

I like the emotion expressed here. I just get that feeling that the couple is content and happy. I know my parents in law use to go to Myrtle beach annually up until they were about ninety . It was their one big trip every year.

I like what you've portrayed in this lovely pastel painting, Linda, showing the elderly couple venturing for a paddle in the sea, holding hands to steady themselves, wearing matching coloured swimwear. Very nice blending of pastel colours and I like how you've shown the shine on their skin, as if they've already been for a swim before and are still wet. I like the subtle colours you used for this. Very nice pastel painting. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

a pleasant presentation of these two elderly people holding hands on the beach. You've captured the moment well with a nice structure to your piece. The palette is fairly good with a nice mix of blue and green hues for the sea

I really don't have a good eye for traditional art but I will give it a go. I think the scene speaks volumes as what art should do. It tells a story and since art is a interpretation of our own mind I see exactly what you meant to display. Great color, centered scene and a touch of sunset or sunrise on the horizon. Nice job.
