man, the water is so clear, it looks like i could drink it. i like the reflections and the ripples in the water. i also really like the way you did the snow. did you use a palette knife? great painting :) good luck in the contest :)

Thank you for your review and comments. Yes I used a pallet knife for the se ond time. I was using acrylics and my granddaughter was watching a video of Bob Ross at the time so it gave me the idea.

Nice choice of color and nice feel. I think this does reflect the colors in nature. (At least here, there is a fine line or mark going into the tree or coming from the tree on the right I don't think is intentional. It is in the sky. You might want to touch that up... Daphne Oberon

Thank you for your review and comments. Yes O finally found the line and I thinknits a brush hair in the varnish finish. The painting is in England I am in Portugal so i will try and doodle it out from the pgoto i have taken.

Thank you. I see it is tight a wee bit. That will be due to cropping. This work is in UK and I uploaded my photo of it in Portugal but it had not been a straight shop.

This is really an excellent piece. I like how you used different blues for the lake and sky, smart decision. You did a nice job varying tree heights and spaces between them, and the same goes for the mountains and vegetation in the foreground. Keep up the great work.

Wonderful initial impression! This is a beautiful scene! I like the tree in right fore , this gives depth , the mountains standing tall and proud in the background framed by the evergreen trees is so beautiful and peaceful, the water with the reflections and the blue sky with nice cloud detail all comes together in this beautiful , peaceful scene! I could sit up on the bank and just look out at this forever! Very well rendered, beautiful to view!
