Looks like a wonderful nature scene presented here! I know very little about butterflies never mind raising them, so I doff my cap to you!! Your great photo benefits from a very good composition, sharpness is excellent as the exposure. Great photo!

Many thanks for your wonderful review! Raising them isn?t hard,if you have a lot of caterpillars it becomes time consuming as they constantly eat, and therefor poop a lot,so you have to constantly collect milkweed leaves (I keep them in a bag in the refrigerator?s crisper bin) and clean up after them. The bigger they get,the more they eat...,so your happy when they stop eating and form chrysalids,awaiting their transformation to beautiful butterflies ! LeeAnn

Thanks for your great review! These are two of the Monarchs that I have raised and released,and they often cooperate and stay where you put them if the morning air is still cool!

This is a great close up of two butterflies. A great nature shot. Everything in the foreground is sharp and crystal clear, while the background is softly out of focus. Nicely lite. A very enjoyable picture.

Wonderful initial impression: this is a beautiful image, the two male monarchs on the pink thistle plant , each in a different position, each show good detail throughout, beautiful wing pattern and colors, this is well focused, the image is clear, well controlled exposure, the colors and tones appear natural, the blurred background pushes the subjects forward, this is well composed and presented! Very interesting artists notes too! How awesome that you raised these and set them free!
