Your shot is a treat for the viewer! You capture the details in the feathers and even the whispy, I'm guessing down, on the bird's head. Good depth of field making the grass a mass of green to make your subject pop.

I love the downy white feathers still clinging to its head. The green plumage is so pretty against the reddish browns in its neck and chest. The clarity of the details and the use of natural light are excellent.

A beautiful young heron. Up here they are more rare and I don't think I have ever seen one in the open like this. Very fine detail that shows the down on his head as well as the sharp eye of a predator.
