This guy is red! I like how the flash brings that out so well. I really like the action of the wings that you captured, not crisply focused, but I like it, and the rest of the bird is sharp. The fanned tail feathers are attractive too.

Absolutely beautiful. I love the Cardinal. Such a great shot. I have three couples that come to eat out of my feeder. This is a wonderful composition. The color is great and the wings are clear in flight. That is not easy. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Good shot Willie and using a flash where wildlife is concerned is not always advisable as it can as you point out disturb them,however guess if you had not then this shot would have not happened,and it is a good photo...Brian
