A stunning capture of this Cardinal just before lift off. Superb eye clarity ....since the eye is so sharp just draws us into your photograph. Very well photographed with good lighting, sharp focus, revealing good details and clarity in your image. Your timing was perfect! I like the pose with the spread wings very much. We do not see the underside of the wings often as perfectly as in this stop-in-action. Neither do we see the details of the feathers with or bare eyes. The brilliant colors of the Cardinal are excellently emphasized by the dark background. The photo is well balanced and framed.

Again you have captured a very clear real shot of the bird. I am impressed with the color and clarity. The dark background with the bright green leaves makes the red pop. It feels off center though.
