What a wonderful tribute to your friend and Jerry's wife. I'm sure she will treasure this well done artwork forever. You have captured three personalities with your pencil. I love all the details and the lovely composition. Your work is truly amazing. Very deserving of a 6 star rating.

What a stunning portrait, and what a sad story behind it. However, this is a fabulous memorial, and technically perfect. They all look so happy, which is as it should be. Excellent work.

An interesting drawing that has a bit of the look of the Mt. Rushmore monuments about it. I wonder if there is some reason for the large amount of negative space.

Mike, thank you for reviewing my work. The negative space is artistic freedom. Just breaking away from the norm.

What a wonderful gift to your friend! So super realistic and so natural! You have brought out every shade of light and shadows Brilliant work. I would venture to add that the top black background can be cropped to bring the figures into the centre of attention. Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing!

Dearest Seshadri, thank you for your wonderful review. I have had several people mention the negative space and I knew when I drew this that that was going to be an issue. Just looking down at the camera, in a selfie. I wanted to convey the moment of the picture. A happy time spent together.

Hi Linda thank you for sharing this most touching portrait of your friend Debbie, brother Jerry and his wife. My heart goes out to the girls and their families in this sad time. Your beautiful gift will be cherished always I am sure. As always Linda your attention to detail is truly outstanding. Jerry's eyes tell his story . through your excellent fine lines and use of shadowing, you have captured his soul as I gaze into his deep set eyes. A beautiful spirit who despite the pain and turmoil he carries within, has soldiered on with will in his heart so those who love him suffered less during his declining health. A mighty soul to be admired. his brow is well defined with his greying hairline neatly rendered and complimenting that characteristic bushy moustache which he carries proudly. His shirt is well blended and through use of shading, the folds and the way it hangs on his tiny frame adds to his neat appearance and brings out a little more of his character within. His Sister Debbie shows a strong family resemblance.. a credit to your brilliant artwork Linda.. Though her eyes are not as deep set as Jerry's, share that same bone structure that extends through their cheek and nose area also. Debbie's eyes are full of life and love and there is a twinkle that shines from within. such a caring soul and through your excellent portrait, the bond between brother and sister shows so clearly. Debbie's mouth is beautifully rendered, and the smile that embraces her face lights up her expression as she holds her brother closely in the scene. a warm and loving emotion has been captured in the moment. A lovely inclusion is Debbie's hand just resting on Jerry's shoulder.. and her other arm embracing her sister-in-law. Brings out that strong connection that exists among them all. The long flowing strands of hair lining Debbie's soft and sweet face is nicely defined. Jerry's wife is delightfully rendered. a natural grace glows over her face. A strong lady it seems whose beautiful smile would light up a room. You have truly captured her features well, Linda.. her eyes, though partially closed, add to her character as does that lovely dimple you've perfectly rendered there on her left cheek as she smiles . She radiates a feeling of love as she leans happily upon Debbie's shoulder.. There is a closeness within the three that truly emanates from within.. the dark background compliments the paler choices defining the portraits. Linda, your talent always amazes me. Brilliance in every sense of the word. I'm sure Debbie, Jerry's wife and all their family will treasure your lovely gift forever more.. My sincere condolences to their family and may Jerry rest peacefully. thank you for sharing. it has been my pleasure to review. best wishes mel
