DIVINE, cloudless, soft pink and gold sunrise over the serene waters of the Kunene River! I think of this sort of scene as the stillness before dawn, when the buzzards and birds of prey come out to wait for the sun to rise so they can sun the underside of their wings; at least they did this in Mexico. They would perch on top of the cactus to sun their "armpits" as it were! Daphne Oberon

Fred,
A stunning & very peaceful picture as the dawn was breaking before the sun rose above the horizon but was starting to colour the sky along the horizon that was then reflected on the surface of the river along with the shadow reflections of the trees lining the far bank that are in silhouette. the silence broken by the sounds of birds starting to call & animals snort or grunt as they star waking up. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Safe journey home!

This is a real beauty Fred. The rose colors of the sunset are blended on the surface of the river and the sky. I like how the river enters the frame from the lower left and proceeds diagonally toward the upper right. The banks of the river make for a great framing element. Nicely done Fred ~ Steve
