Very cool pose from this potter wasp! I love how the end of his body curves under the whole flower. He looks like he weighs more than the flower he is on, and is hanging by a thread! Great capture of this guy!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
My Review is based on the correct way of viewing work on far. By clicking the photo once you get the true view. Your focus is razor sharp, details crisp, white balance controlled on the black and Soft blur of background.
The only suggestion I have is to clone out the two leaves peeking in upper right.
Incredible shot Greenie..the view of the buge body on this dude is incredible.
Fine work behind your lens!

Thank you! The six star rating is almost as nice as your flattering comments :) I tried to load a smaller image several times but just couldn't get it to work right -wound up being a huge upload.

Excellent nature macro!
Lovely colors with excellent sharp focus and the shallow depth of field blurs the background out nicely. Getting in close really gives this excellent visual and initial impact
Good center of interest and story telling ability.
fantastic lighting and exposure control give the shadows excellent details.
Great technique and high technical excellence. A fine capture....

Congrats!

Excellent close up of this interesting looking Wasp and thank you for the notes accompanying this, Grace. I like the angle you used for this. Very good lighting and focus showing great clarity in the shape and markings of the Wasp. The softened background pushes it forward well. Very good composition. Suzanne

"Woho" this looks like a "scorpion wasp"! Although this one looks formidable I guess the sting from these nectar sipping wasps is not really that harmful though, and they are beneficial to gardens as they help control pests. Very clear close up! My admiration! Daphne Oberon

This is a very well done shot of this wasp. I think I have seen some around here as well. Great focus and detail in the shot and an interesting composition(I would clone out the two leaves in the top right corner) The shape and markings of the wasp are interesting to view. Well done..
