Oh what a nice naturally peaceful shot Nik. The scene is well done with the fawn perfectly placed and nicely framed by the grasses growing around the edge of Lough Leane. The distant water accents the fawn nicely. A great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the voting ~ Steve

Great shot of this cute little fawn! This little one almost looks like it was posing for you! Love the natural coloring and the setting with the water behind adds extra interest. Well done!

Great looking shot!. Fine example of wild life photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the alert look on the young fawn's face very well. Good luck!

Centrally framed wildlife subject.
Almost monochromatic in its color scheme...

I'd consider cropping a bit of the hazy foreground to focus more on the fawn.
Trimming half of the left negative space would give an off centered framing--suggesting a directional movement of this wildlife cutie.
Just a friendly suggestion though...

Visual balancing between the fawn & that shaded bush at the upper right corner if the reeds on the lower left will be trimmed out...

Still a cute capture with subdue earth tones.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

I love the photograph. She is well camouflaged with the color of the landscape around her. You have done a great job capturing her as they are spooked very easy and are quick. You did a great job thanks for sharing.

the fawn says..."sorry m not suppose to talk to strangers! however if you stay there and take pictures, i wont say a word!" lolol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this fawn in the weeds with water and terrain in background is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A meticulously composed shot. The fawn is well framed by the tall grasses and the setting is pristine. Great detail and beautiful colors. Good luck in the contest.

This forest rat (That is our nickname for them in New Jersey) is well hidden in the grasses as it looks for water. You caught it nicely looking around. Good color in the coat , showing the spots. They are cute. Well taken.

Your name for the fawn strikes me as quite strange as a Brit! Otherwise I do appreciate your kind review!!

They tend to be all over the place (over populated) causing many car accidents and eating crops. They are cute but not popular.
