Nik,
A beautiful picture of this shy & very alert young deer on the shore of lough Leane, hiding in the long grass & rushes growing there it's ears pricked to catch any sound & eyes peeled so it could quickly escape should it feel you presented a danger to it. The light dancing on the surface of the lough makes the perfect backdrop. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Beautiful wildlife shot! This Fawn is standing so alert at the edge of the water , well focused, the image is clear, well controlled exposure , colors and tones appear natural. I think the face of a deer is so beautiful! Very well presented and best of luck to you in the contest!
