Mr philosopher, I love your colors and symbology here, and especially your lovely caption about the sun dragon. You know, aspects of my parent's philosophy -- particularly my mother, tried to go there in the beginning, but somehow for them it was as though the sun and moon reversed places. I am giving this six stars not only for the beauty and creativity, but because of the wholesome spirit you are projecting here! Be well! Daphne Oberon

Oh how can I begin to Thank my dear Daphne for your wonderful review and insightful commentary? It is always strange how the words come as I look at an image and wonder what to say about it. I wish I could come up with such words of wisdom on my own. Alas, I simply write down what is given for me to say. Not so much of a philosopher as a transcriber. Thank you so very much again my friend for your kind words and Grand rating ~Steve

Love the title and your ability to really see beyond the ordinary. Shot perfectly to confirm the title and with the fine use of filters it looks like a whole other world. So well done, my friend. Ed.

BEAUTIFUL image and beautiful words to go with it. Wow! How long did you have to wait for the sun to line up behind the branch? Just stunning. The silhouette is stunning. The colors and light are perfect. The light on the flower at the bottom of the frame is the cherry on top. So pretty. Thanks for sharing Steve.

Thank you very much Donna for your great review and comments. Actually I was moving all around the area looking for things to put into the foreground. I had to lay almost flat on the ground to get the sun to line up like this. So there was no waiting. Thank you again Donna ~ Steve

This is a beautiful and very creative photo! I see the dragon in front of the setting (or rising) sun! I like the way the sunlight is illuminating the foreground. Great concept for a photo. Very well done!

I love this one Steve! It has a magical quality about it ! I can easily see this as a page in a fantastic storybook ! I see the dragon right away! He's huge! The sun glows all around his muzzle putting a wonderful orange glow in the sky that rises up to meet the violet tones above it, the shadows fall upon the land surrounding the dragon, the glow reaches into the foreground lighting it up in a wonderful way, I see the one golden petaled flower in foreground center and another one to the right surrounded by the golden buds still yet to open. The other plants show in a warm red earthy tone their structure and textures are easily seen. This is very well composed, it's beautiful to view and it reminds us not to try to make sense of everything, but to allow our imagination to decide what it is that we see, especially in a scene such as this, with the sun dragon! Very well photographed, with good focus, clarity and use of the available light, post processing was effective to create a magical scene! Well presented!

I absolutely see the sun dragon, stoking his fiery breath from the glow of the sun. I am very much an elementals kinda girl, and I see dragons, faeries and angels where others see tree trunks, clouds and leaves. Fabulous work.

I think whatever this is, it's a beautiful and compelling
creation. So Jurassic of you
FS, this scene makes me think of a brontosaurus roaming the plains at night.
It's deep, thought provoking,
has a beautiful sky, and an
imagination that is truly artistic. Your words are moving but your photo is stellar. Beautiful work!

Oh thank you so much VO for your great review. You are so encouraging. This was a dead log I spotted when looking for a good foreground to capture a sunset on Mount Scott near Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Actually I think your review is better than the image, but I will take your Grand rating. Thank you so very much again VO ~ FS

I love this.
The colors are simply stunning! The way it was captures does indeed look like a dragon. The lighter foreground helps give it depth. Great focus! Thanks for sharing!
