A gorgeous scene on this stormy afternoon. Good artists notes and nice is your thought process for this Rio Grande river Art Work. The scene so realistic that it bring us their to the Rio Grande Valley hearing the sound of the rushing water and feeling the wind on our face. An excellent composition and nice is the movement in your art work. So skill full is your pallet knife strokes and blending and shading of colors and excellent details. Good differentiation and contrast in your image. Your play with light and shadows has creative depth and interest in your piece. A creative and talented art work. Thanks for sharing. Bet of wishes in the contest. Captivating!

Excellent notes that add a lot to appreciating the end result. Perfect contest entry too. Your effort to depict the movement of the water is masterfully rendered. It caught me right at first glance. Equally excellent are the land masses rendered with depth and perspective. Superb artistry!

It is really grand! A beautiful scene that you have captured the mood. The colours are exciting and the scene overall realistic. Congratulations on the pallet knife use. I have tried this although totally new to me and enjoy with some pleasing results . I expect your picture has very good texture and depth. Just love it.

I give what i believe it deserves. I don't promote very much. Trying to get my head round why promote? I think there is a lot on this site I don't understand.

I really like how you created the water. You can feel it's movement as it passes through the narrow water way. The land in the foreground looks hot and sunny. Nice use of colors and great composition.

Phenomenal work of art. I really enjoyed reading your process of creation. You have such talent. One would not imagine this was created with a knife. Fantastic job. Best of luck to you in the contest!

To me this is one of those rare paintings that improve upon reality thereby strengthening it through art. The turbulent, deep blue water is more than real, as is the moody landscape, which turns mystical as result of the artist's imagination. This is a winner in my book! Daphne Oberon

An impressive artwork rendition.
Colorful creation with excellent strokes & textures.
A specific subject (i.e. flying gull) can add to the overall impact...just a thought though.

Good compositional style. Great overall impact!
Thanks for sharing...

But I forgot its the Water in Nature as the comp subject here...,;-) sorry!

No sorry needed. It is an idea I will look at. My goal is to paint a beautiful painting. It is not, nor will ever be to paint for a contest. If one of my paintings appear to fit the parameters of a contest, then I will enter it. If not, I just move on. But thanks for your afterthought.

A beautiful scene that is well composed. I like the color palette and appreciate the fine knife technique. It should be a strong contender in the contest. Good luck.
