What a beauty! Yes I would definitely choke but I guess he is used to stashing the peanuts in various hiding places until ready to eat. LOL
Amazing detail and color. A wonderful subject with interest displaying great texture within his feathers.
Well framed and a pleasure to view!

Thank you so much Monica! He stuffs them in his throat and carries them somewhere and then comes back for more. When we were working on our deck, he spent the entire afternoon here, I went through a lot of peanuts! Lol

Great shot of this gorgeously colored stellar jay.Love the sheen on it's plumage, nice capture of the catch light in it's bright eye.Great focus and detail, love that you were able to capture the peanut peeking out of it's throat. Would be fun to get a photo of it looking in the window wondering where it's peanuts are! Thanks for sharing this eye pleasing photo!

Pat,
A beautiful picture of this iridescent blue & black Stella Jayon your Deck's railing enjoying the fresh Peanuts you've placed there. It's iridescent plumage glowing in the sunlight, a peanut complete with it's she'll seen in it's throat while more are seen on the railing bathed in sunshine. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I really like the close and personal approach Pat, and how nicely the bird is posing for you. You probably tricked him into landing on the table with the peanuts. LOL

The bird is standing out sharp and well defined against the nicely softened background, and the exposure is very good.

The format you have cropped the photo into is perfect, and the bird has got a very good placement within the frame. A truly sweet and well taken photo, and with a excellent DOF.

Cool,Pat!
That's a great looking photograph,my friend!
This sub species of Jay,with their distinctive coloration which is very different from the type that are common down this-a- way,is nicely interesting and lots of fun to look at!
'Good Show'! : )
