What a great close up! The face is so interesting and the texture of his skin around the eye and neck really jumps out. These guys have feathers that resemble eagles, except those very fluffy white ones. Great light in the eye too.

A great looking portrait of this Vulture, and I also think the green background looks good. It is nicely softened for the bird to stand out in an excellent way.
Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in all parts of the bird. The exposure is spot on.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the bird has got a fine placement within the frame. A really fine and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Wow! What a dramatic portrait of the magnificent bird Eileen. Thank you for your artist's notes. It would be a tragedy if these birds became extinct because of man. Your after photo work in lightroom gaives such a unique look and overall texture. Great work here Eileen ~ Steve

Thanks Steve.. I hate to see when animals like this go extinct because of mankind's stupid moves.

Hi Eileen!
What a 'handsome Devil' this creature is,my friend!
: D
One can easily tell that the giant prehistoric 'Terror Birds' were his ancestors!
Your excellent portrait photograph of him,and your interesting notes, are Awesome!
Most definitely a 'Good Show' of a presentation indeed! : )
