The scenery looks fantastic Ruth Ann, and you have pictured it so well. I especially like the low clouds above the trees, and also how lovely the light is falling on the landscape. In other words, a perfect background for this majestic looking bull moose.
He is standing out really sharp and well defined, and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the animal. I also think the exposure is spot on, and the colors are nice and natural.
The format and framing is perfect, and with the moose placed off to the right, it is a good balance in the composition. Indeed a beautiful and well taken wildlife photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
