Another very nicely exposed shot! The natural colors are delightful and you caught such good detail of the bird and texture of the plumage. The details of the face stand out well too.

"Look! I promise you that fish was this big!" exclaimed the bird..who says only us humans can tell fish stories.. wink. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this wing spread bird is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

What a gorgeous bird. I love the colors and the gray eyes especially. Nice clear detail of the feathers. I would like to see the full bird but understand that's not always possible. Good shot!

This is a very well taken photo. I appreciate the natural colors very much. The details of plumage and body of the bird a nicely defined. The shallow background give us hints of the environment without being distracting. The photo is balanced. I personally would prefer if the wing would not be clipped by the left margin.

Your kind and detailed review is very much appreciated! I could not include all of the crane when I discovered it because I was too close!!

You're most welcome :o)
I undestand; being to close is indeed a problem.

Glad you understand!

so exotic and beautiful. Great angle showing the eye and details of the wings from within. I could have given this a six, if you did not cut off the legs and those wings, utilizing the negative space from the top.

A marvelous photo of a crane, which shows so many layers of colors in the black and white range. Excellent focus, overall composition, and cropping. Anyone who photographs big birds know that they hold this kind of position for just a split second! A very worthy contest entry.
