When I saw this photo I knew straight away what I like the best about this photo. The simplicity and the limited color pallet. I also think you have captured so well the fine shine and reflections from the bird in the shiny water.
The silhouetted bird is standing out sharp and well defined against the water, and the exposure is perfect. All the golden colors are just lovely.
The format and framing is the best, and with the bird off to the left, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A nice one here Nik. The placement of the bird is just perfect, just left of center and toward the lower third of the scene. The glowing waters are well accented by the darker blue water. The pale gold mountains lit by the sunset completes this lovely scene. Well done my friend and best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well handled, colors and tones appear natural, the mountains are well placed to separate the sky from the water , I like the 1/4 sky and 3/ 4 water composition.
