This is a very eye appealing shot and a great entry for the contest. Love the angle of the shot and the different tonal variations.Detail is well captured and focus sharp,great shimmer on the scales. Very beautiful,best wishes to you in the contest!

So sad to see he was caught and not properly released back to the water, this is well captured with good focus, the image is clear and shows excellent detail throughout , nice angle of shot, well converted to Black and awhite shows good tonal variation . Since I live on the shore of a lake this is not an uncommon sight although I must admit that I never stopped to photograph it. The bass looks like it might still be alive. A very fine black and white that should fare well in the contest. Best of luck.
