Sometimes off chances to grab a shot pay off and it certainly does with this. It has a lot of interest. It is framed nicely to the keft, its darkness there brings the eye to the lighter scene on the right where a beautiful moon hovers between darkening fleeting or gathering ckouds. The bare tree branches add dynamics.
The use of the light you had is well used. Good focus and study. A very dramatic show.

This is really a great photo,at first glance I thought this was a painting.Lovely capture of the full moon setting the enveloping clouds aglow,the willows add to the dreamy mood of the scene. Entire image is well framed and nicely presented.Many thanks for sharing!

You got it , Susan! Usually, real nature much more impressive for me than the picture. A photo just helps to remember that I saw. I think that you saw more exciting view when you came back from shopping. But looking at this photo I can imagine the whole thing, including the wind and smell. Bravo!!!

Thanks a million for your complementary review on this hand held night photo taken with my compact camera set on night time setting. The clouds were flying past the moon & the Willows' branches waving in the wind. Seconds later the Mon was hidden behind a black cloud.
