I put up a pair of wood duck houses in the spring. Usually at least one is occupied by a wood duck family. A beautiful shot with great colors and fascinating reflections.

As a young man for a long time I thought wood ducks were made from wood and painted with bright colours. You don't get to see them in this part of the world. You have shor this nicely. Bright colours. Fine sharpness. Overall an impressive pic!

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this exotic looking Wood Duck drake with his beautifully colourful and marked plumage & red eye watching you as he swims in safety from "Duck shooters" on the lake near your home in Paris his reflection along with the plants & trees on the bank are seen on the softly rippled surface of the lake. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

What a beautiful duck! You have portrayed his colours so sharply and distinctly. I think the ripples in the water help to contrast with the sharpness of the ducks lines. Very nice photograph.

A great photo so sharp showing all the feathers off in detail.
The colours are vibrant on this Wood duck. Never seen one before so great seeing it now.
