It sounds like you had a great family get together! I like the big smile you captured on the officer's face. The Santa clause hat and the lights on the trees shows that it's Christmastime. This is a great photo and gives me the Christmas spirit just looking at it!

The only issue i have with this is the title...From what i have experienced Christmas in New York is just stunning with wonderful atmosphere yet this is all missing in your presentation and all i see is a traffic officer talking to a pedestrian in a santa hat..now I'm sure theres more to a New York Christmas...

I love the complete focus on the entire photo. There is a lot to look at, but it isn't distracting. The bluish background makes the bus pop. I like the point of view from which you took the picture and the right time of day.

The red hat says Christmas to me. The lights in all places are great. They give structure to the buildings whilst the traffic with lights and reflections add movement
You use the light very well. There is good focus and sharpness of your subjects. A very good cityscape.
