This is a great close up indeed. It is not easy to get that close to a juvenile since they are master in hiding themselves. The pose of the bird looks cute and also allows us a good view of the front of his body and the profile of his head. The sharp captured eye is especially impressive. The colors are refreshing natural. The shallow background and the tight framing are emphasizing the bird nicely.

What a wonderful scene with this juvenile Green Heron. That eye is instantly attention grabbing and the 'bad hair day' makes this young one seen so 'young'. Great work in capturing this one Grace. Kudos ~ Steve
