Beautiful duck with the chocolate brown feathers , I like the fluffiness of the head feathers, well,placed in the frame on the green water , nice show of the motion with the ripples . This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural.nice detail throughout with good eye contact. Well composed and presented! I love ducks!

Lovely photo of this duckling,it resembles the scaup we have here.it stands out well against the green coloration of the water;like the fuzz it still has on it's head and the droplets of water on it's bill.The silver ripples surrounding it draws attention to this duckling. I would suggest maybe editing out the two light spots,but that's just me. It's a well composed photo,very enjoyable to view! LeeAnn

Fred,
A beautiful picture of what I think maybe a female Common Pourchard ~ Aythya ferima though I can't be completely sure. I love the way the light is dancing on the ripples created by the duck on the green water reflecting the trees on the lake's shores. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
