Not so bad a photo, its quite clear and you captured a very good angle. I never heard of a stink bug. But loved your story. Good luck. Hope your mum is well now.

Very interesting story, that is a very good question, just how did this bug get in the room? Possibly, it got in to the hospital on another visitor and came in unnoticed until you spotted it! This image shows the size , shape and structure of the stink bug as well as its color. It's pose shows it's location! Well presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!

Poor Stink Bug in it's last few minutes of life unaware of what you had in mind when you took it's picture. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
(I'd have captured in in a cup or box & taken it outside!! But that's just Me!)

Obviously must have come in on someone's clothes lol, good thing it wasn't a bed bug or cockroach,,and I would have smacked it too,although Im not really sure they are that dangerous,,they do stink though, Ive seen these while raspberry picking lol
