Maybe someone made a mistake in the naming? Your fine composition captures a lovely moment! Not sure how your woodpecker would digest that big nut! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done

    Lol, thank you for your nice review. I watched him peck away at it the same way Blue Jays do. They seem to break eat them in small bits before eating.

Wow! I didn't know that woodpeckers liked peanuts! Nice timing to capture this one with the peanut in beak, I like the position allowing the slight angle which shows a nice view of the profile , the eye and the peanut. This is of course, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented! This was a pleasure to view!

That's a fine looking picture of this interesting creature that you've captured for us,my friend!
It's fascinating to think about what evolutionary factors and environmental circumstances might have influenced the development of these wonderfully unusual types of birds!
