I was far too busy to review this at Christmas time, but when I saw that you were the winner of the contest, I thought it would be a good opportunity to give big Congratulations and to give you 6 stars. It is a truly beautiful scene, and you have pictured it so well.
I especially like the colors of this sunset and the way the setting sun is dipping into the scene. The pier with all the people is standing out really sharp and well defined against the sky and the sea, and the exposure is perfect.
The format you have cropped the photo into works so well, and the pier has got a very good placement off to the left, nicely balanced by the setting sun on the right. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Wonderful capture. I particularity like the color variance from the water to the sky and to the dark portion of the sky.
The jetty is wonderfully silhouetted with the birds. It certainly speaks of an end to a beautiful day.

Hi Allan. I painted a similar sunset last week. Very pretty. Notice that the reflection in the water is not exactly the same shade as the sunset. There is brown. Artists notice such things. I did not have the blue at the top. Nice composition, clear focus and subject matter. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing
