Stunning capture ..the heron always eludes me leaving me with a blur of blue in its wake.
Love the lighting and how it gives a sense of drama and intense concentration to the photo.

Now you talking about a low flyer, I was looking at his left wing and it was barely touching the water, the reflection almost looks like two of these, this is a nice shot of him and to get it in focus as it looks like he stopped in mid air for you. The framing in front of him gives him more room to come in for a landing. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

Hi Grace. Love this one as the wing tip touches the water ever so delicately.
Great pose as the wings are in the down stroke position showing the full power of those wings.
Well done as always Grace ~ Steve

Thank you very much Steve for your always very kind and flattering comments about my work. I have to say that it makes me frown to see your portfolio so empty!!

I am kind of in a funk Grace as the result of a stroke that I had at some point in time. Lately I have been pretty depressed and as a result decided to clean out the old ones. I can still bring them back but will just start over. I will get out of this funk sooner or later. Thanks for your reply Grace ~ Steve

I am sorry to hear that Steve. Sometimes it isn't easy to shake the funk depending on circumstances. I hope that the beauty of Mexico can help :)

I love these birds and, this is a simply beautiful shot. Your stop action is great. Capturing the reflection in the water is just gorgeous. And the wingtip skimming the surface...just WOW! I wish I had a 6 to give you on this because it is very deserving. Beautiful work Gracie!

I too like how the wing tips touch each other at the water. This is a very pleasant photo over the clear green water. Great lines

Thank you,for your "flight comments,"which are so helpful in truly appreciating the dynamics of your portrait. Wing span and forward launch, the greens of the water;and, reflections in it are well done.
Cordially,
Joanna Bachman

This is beautiful, you really have captured this lovely bird in motion so well. Love the fact that you can just see the water movement as the wing skims over the top, great reflection. Nicely presented looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Excellent capture,I like how you caught this great blue flying low over the water,it's wingtips making contact with it's own watery reflection.Image is nicely framed, and the heron stands out well against the darkness of the water.A wonderful image! :) LeeAnn

Well thank you very much Brian! I appreciate your review :) Not sure why it doesn't appear sharp. I must have done something when trying to lighten it up a little as a couple of people had suggested. I'll look at it again. Thank you!
