Very cute shot of this turtle, Nancy. Love the way his feet are stretched out flat. Just a little bashful, doesn't want you to see much of his head. Really well done.

Hi Robert, In all the time I have sighted turtles I don't think I've ever seen a turtle splayed out in such a fashion. It was such a fun shot I had to take it! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the GREAT review! :o) Nancy

I think you pictured this sunbathing turtle so well, and it looks totally relaxed with the feet stretched out. I do see the shadow from the dragonfly as well. The green lily pad is of course a perfect background, and the turtle is standing out from it in a very nice way.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the turtle, and the exposure is very good.

The format and the framing works well and the turtle is well placed within the frame. A lovely, funny and well taken photo Nancy, and with a very good DOF.

It is quite odd to see a turtle with his legs stretched out like that. The turtle is sharp and the colors are great. I like the shadow of the dragonfly and the diagonal placement of the turtle.

Hi Mike, I thought the turtles legs were rather odd too! I've never seen a turtle sunning himself like this. I'm glad you enjoyed the shot and like the way I presented it. Thanks for the wonderful review! :o) Nancy

Such a funny pose with his legs and feet flat out in the lily pad! This is very cute and you handled the bright light very nicely. The colors and the details look great. I like how well his claws on his front and back feet can be seen.

Super cute turtle sunbathing on the lilypad , he keeps his head tucked in and his left front foot and both back legs and feet out. This is well focus , the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural, nice detail in his shell. He stands out nicely from the lilypad and I like the added touch of the dragonfly shadow. Well composed and presented!

Funny how that turtle put its legs out into the sun, but keeps its head under cover. The turtle is well focused. The details of body and shell are nicely defined. The colors are realistic and eye pleasing. The photo is well balanced and framed.

Yes, I certainly did enjoy the nature shot you posted here because it is not everyday that I get to look at turtles! Your fine full and central composition grants us a good look at your turtle. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done!
