They are also one of the few birds that go down the trunk of a tree head first. A great shot with superb detail in the plumage and very fine colors.

    Thank you Mike! Yes, that is an interesting thing about nuthatches! I have read that in some countries they have been referred to as the devil down-head bird :)

Great capture of this fast moving little bird! I love the pose. Beautiful light and natural colors. Excellent sharpness in the bird and perch. Very nice background.

wonderful image. With little time you where able to capture the details in the plumage and even a hint of catch-light in the birds eye.
The shallow depth of field allows the subject to "pop".
