Beautiful work, Gracie. I love all of the detail you can see in the lovely wing. The composition giving him lots of room to fly into is so nice. The dark background with just enough view of the foliage creates a perfect canvas to show off this beautiful bird. Love it!

I like 6 star days. This bird is definitely showing the wonderful mechanics of his beautiful wings. You've captured the detail and feeling of flight nicely. As you know I feel a need for more centering but think that the greenery in the background brings this all together nicely for great framing.

I know you like centered images, but with birds in flight if you don't give them room in the front they look a little cut off. This is a great shot of the heron in flight! The focus is very good! I love the extended wing and the eye shows well! The colors are very nice! The only thing keeping me from a 6 on this is that it is a little dark...perhaps you could lighten the shadows just a little bit! Overall fantastic shot and a pleasure to view! Lori
