Really good close-up of the dandelion in the grass. The bright yellow flower really stands out against the bright green. Focus is good and shows the flowers details well. Good lighting also.

Beautifully detailed look at this dandelion, Susan. I'm just glad it's there and not in my lawn. They're pretty when they're blooming - not so much so afterward. And my neighbors get upset if I let them go.

Robert,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this early Dandelion grown in the Park where I walk my Dog. It's a Biodiversity Park with the perimeter allowed to go wild with dandelions, Thistles & Nettles etc. this is to encourage wildlife, Birds Butterflies & Bees etc. They grow in my lawn too as I never use weed killer. I just keep them mown down.

The detail of the flower is tack sharp. The color rendition is good. I like the dark green background to counter the bloom. I might suggest a much more narrow depth of field to blur the grass so as to really make the dandelion stand out . I might also suggest positioning the flower somewhat off-center to make the image more dramatic.

A very nice sharp image of this sunny colored dandelion full of beautiful texture. I wish we had some of those in our yard, right now we have about a foot of snow. Nice natural colors, it really stands out brightly against the lucious green grass.Thank you for this nice touch of spring!

I love dandelions at every stage of their growth. Great yellow and green contrast, fine focus showing sharp details and creative work on placing it a clear ball sphere.
Nice job Susan :)

I am really surprised to see that you already fine dandelions in the grass. Here in Norway everything is covered in snow, and probably will be for another couple of months. You have really pictured it well, and I like how you have put it into a sphere.
Your focus on the flower is spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details both in the petals and the center of the dandelion, and the exposure is just perfect.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well and the flower inside the sphere looks nice centered. A truly lovely, well taken and edited photo Susan.

Annie,
Thanks a million for your detailed & complementary review on this Dandelion this first I've seen this year. There are also Daisies in the Park & my friend told me she has seen Daffodils blooming near the coast five miles to the east of here, where they are in bud. We may?? get some snow later this week but not to the depths you get in Norway.

Sounds like spring has come where you live Susan, and you are more than welcome for the review.

Annie,
Thank you. We are expecting Arctic weather this coming week...hopefully it will only last a few days.

Your exposure brings out the lovely shade of yellow of this flower weed. I won;t get to see one of these where I live for another months. I like the clarity of this shot and how the details of the center stand out.

Wow,Susan!
I can barely imagine blooming dandelions and green grass in the very Dead of Winter,at least not over here!
That certainly is a fine looking photograph,my friend!

Wow Susan! It will be the last week of May before we will have dandelions! I have always thought the dandelion was a pretty flower and I like it's fragrance too! This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural.well composed and presented!

Pat,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Dandelion blooming in January. It's said that in Ireland you can have four seasons in ONE day. The difference between winter & summer is only a matter of 5 of 10 degrees. The year my sister got married in July we had 4 inches of Snow that lasted 24 hours over night. It's in the low 50s today.

We, in Michigan, are still some 3 months away from seeing spring flowers so this dandelion is a welcome sight. We are expecting temps around 0 and quite a bit of snow. A fine shot with sharp details and beautiful colors.

Mike,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the Dandelion in the Park yesterday.
The weather is expected to change tomorrow with a possibility of snow but not the amounts you get in Michigan.
