Interesting story. You are a refugee from Hungary, escaping persecution of the Jews? I grew up with a family who's parents had done the same, also from Hungary. The man, stands out as a haughty, self-important stylish man in his pin striped suit. Interesting I see one of his eyes, and there appears to be an eye in the tree as though watching him...no matter who you are, there are those who have their eye on you too.

I find the author's note a bit confusing grammatically. However, one does have a feeling of tension and torture from the picture; because of details like the face turned flat, the suit of jailbird design the observant eye in the very red tree. It is a shame that your notes are not quite up to the picture, in my opinion.

thank you. I am so sorry you find my notes ''confusing''. I have literally hundreds of poems and stories in books and teach advanced English, so it is maybe more the case that you do not understand Britsh politics.
