I think the rich colors in this image are very nice, especially the brown's in the hawk's wings. His eyes stand out nicely with good light and your timing of catching him taking off is good.

What an incredible shot. I lived on a street called osprey when I first relocated from California. I never knew what an osprey looked like. Indeed a hawk / falcon appearance. This shot is caught at just the precise time. His wing span is outrageous. I just enlarged my screen again for another look. The talons along with that falcon/hawk scavenger appearance along with incredible wing span. Wow,... and that sky is gorgeous. You caught this just a millisecond before the legs would be tucked, but he was at full spread with one toe hanging back. Great job. Best of luck. Looks like a winner.
