You have pictured this wasp so well, and also in a special situation. The leaf it is sitting on offers a nice background, and the hornet is standing out from it in a good way.
Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in the insect, and also the exposure is fine.
The cropping is working well, and the wasp has got a fine placement within the frame. A great looking and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

ugh ugh ugh, but interesting for all that. It is surprising how many tiny creatures are meat eaters, living to eat each other. Nature is not very kind at all. Amazing close up shot. As a painter, especially interesting as the creatures are brought out by the vivid green background.

Very well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, the wasp shows good detail all the way through , well,managed exposure, the colors and tones are natural, this is good storytelling and I see good detailmon the poor worm and find the yellow coloring to be very intersting.
