Wow,I think BugMan is pretty cool,your grandson should get a real kick out of him.He kinda reminds me of The Tick! I really love that he's on a mantis,probably one of the coolest insects there is,plus he's got a couple of engines reminiscent of a starship,so he should be able to go to warp speed with no problem at all.An excellent entry for the contest,wish you all the best! :)

I don't know how old your grandson is, but this has little boy written all over it. Very imaginative. It has a bit of a 3D look to it. It looks like a superhero riding an ant, blasting into outer space. Good job.

is bug man flying to the sun or the moon? looks like the sun, he will frazel up in the fire. love the way you have depicted the planets, green earth, red etc. your usual sharp shorthand for the world about us. Reminds me of those sci films I used to watch on a Saturday afternoon as a kid 70 yrs ago.
