excellent capture of the formations on the rocks and the little tree in the middle, but the photo is very grainy, or maybe over sharpened and this takes from the initial impact

This is indeed a dramatic looking landscape, and you have pictured it so well. The small bushes with autumn colored leaves offer a nice contrast, and you have also brought out the textures of the rocky formations in an excellent way.
The formations are standing out sharp from the lovely sky and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen all over. The exposure is perfect.
The format and framing is working well, and it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well taken landscape photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A beautiful & interesting picture of these unique rock formations on the southern shores of Lake Ontario. it's rocky surface & shapes created by the action of wind, rain, frost & wind over ens of time the Tree in it's gay autumnal foliage brings colours to it's mainly grey surroundings & gives us a sense of scale. The blue sky & fluffy white clouds making the perfect backdrop. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is a great picture showing the rough terrain in this wilderness. The shape is shown well against the blue sky and clouds.The little splash of color from the small tree is also a nice contrast to the grey of the rock.

Wonderfully framed between the peaks of this formation is this lone tree with beautiful fall colors. You've captured the essence of the season with great clarity. The blue sky background is very nice against this show.

Thanks so very much for the review and the well wishes! I usually go up every July,but normally the sky is bright white(UGH!).This was taken in early November one year and I lucked out with a blue sky!
