This is a gorgeous capture - and the finishing touch is that beautiful deer skull! It brings a mystery and drama to this scene in the beautiful calm green of the forest. Nicely framed and balanced. Just lovely! A really beautiful piece! Thank you for sharing : )

A fitting setting for your deer skull. I like the stump with the fungus and the ferns make a great background. Nicely composed with fine colors.

Never has a skull of a deer been more photographed than this one, but I also appreciate all the lovely backgrounds you find for it. The green fern in the background looks great, and I also think you have brought out so well the textures in the tree stump.
The skull is standing out so sharp against the background, and it is indeed well defined details to be seen in the skull. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.
The format and framing is perfect, and the skull is well placed in the picture. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Very nice clear photo showing three levels of texture content behind the antlers. The soft green leaves that also appear through the eye, the rough top of the stump upon which the skull rests, and then the antler gently pointing down through the fungi growing up out of the earth which is now the likely grave of the rest of this forgotten deer. Very poignant! Daphne Oberon

Wow! I have a stump in my back yard that looks similar to this old stump, I think this setting is perfect for the deerskull, I like the way you placed it on the stump with the horns standing up agains the green ferns and down to call attention to the fungi growing from the dead stump. This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear , colors are vibrant, .well composed and presented!

Good positioning of the skull. It makes a neat statement and gives it a fantasy look. Colors of the foliage behind the skull creates a good contrast as does the stump. Well done.
