The redbuds are truly beautiful and offers such nice reflections to the shiny water. This would have been a lovely photo even without the mallards, but they add even more beauty and also interest. The ripples they have created are well captured, and the two ducks are standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details both in the birds and the background redbuds. Also the exposure is very good.
The format and framing works well and the ducks have got a fine placement a bit off to the left. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo Barbara, and with an excellent DOF.

Wonderful initial impression! The purple flowers are so beautiful and I love the way they are reflecting on the lake . The two mallards are swimming with the male in front, this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones are natural. This is a beautiful scene! Very well composed and presented! This is a pleasure to view!
