A visually soothing image of a cute avian subject with tranquil reflections.

Cool subdued illumination.
Plain backdrop pops out creature despite the low lit condition.

Dynamic ripples...

Thanks!

A very nice duck photo posted here! Your fine composition makes it look like the duck is swimming on ice because the water is so smooth!! Like the dripping beak and reflections. Nicely done!

Your portrait photograph, with the Teal's red and green feathered head, and, the black gem of his eye;and, too, the variegated feathers along his back, against the smoother wing feathers,is,well done.

Joanna

This is a lovely shot of the bird!. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

If it were not for the ripples in the water in front and behind the bird. you would think this was a detail decoy on a mirror. The fact that you captured water dripping off its bill is cool. Very well done.

I like the angle you used for this lovely shot of the beautiful male Teal, Grace, showing his clear reflection in the smooth water as he swims along leaving ripples behind him. Excellent lighting and focus showing a nice crisp image. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Nice shot! This looks like an American Wigeon . I am not really up on the ducks so I might be wrong. I looked it up and found I was mistaken. If you are not familiar with them check it out! I really do like your picture!

Beautiful duck here, I like the colours of this one. Lighting is good and good angle used to capture the duck. The background works so well with the paleness here. What a wonderful duck in the end

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
He is so handsome and I am happy for finally saw one last year at the wetlands. His breeding colors are amazing.
Your focus is razor sharp, stop action superb, white balance controlled and details crisp.
Love the drop of water off his bill, water reflection and the water trail from his swimming.
Superb capture Greenie!!! ;)
