I like the look of this dove. I like the background and I like the close view. The major thing I see is that the image is out of focus. The way to get a good focus is to concentrate on the eye, that will insure good detail.

The stand out part of this photo is definitely the eye. The sharpness isn't there but the photo is still very nice. The colours of this bird are subtle and bring a softness to the photo. Well done

Nice capture, the focus on the eye of the bird is tack sharp, although it seems that the tip of the beak is a bit soft. Orientation employs the rule of thirds. The background is not distracting. Good job.

This is such an interesting bird, the Inca Dove is one that I haven't seen before, I especially like the soft grey feathers and the pattern they create, it's a beautiful pose with back to you but he kindly turned his head for a good look at his face. This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural, I love the way this dove comes forward from the same tone background, I see beautiful detail in feathers, face and beak, and a nice clear look at its eye! Well composed and presented! Very best wishes to you in the contest!

This is such an interesting bird, the Inca Dove is one that I haven't seen before, I especially like the soft grey feathers and the pattern they create, it's a beautiful pose with back to you but he kindly turned his head for a good look at his face. This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural, I love the way this dove comes forward from the same tone background, I see beautiful detail in feathers, face and beak, and a nice clear look at its eye! I think this is a cute portrait. I like the angle or the view and how well it shows off the face and the feathers in the back, which are sharply captured. The color of the background compliments the subject nicely.

The bird is very pretty. I know you have to take what you can get with these shots, but I really would have liked to see him straight on. Also, the focus looks a little soft and blurry. I do love the look in his eye though.
