a great capture grace of these stunning ice castles; without the partally blue sky and tree it could be a b&w pic;
excellent control of exposure for the white ice;

Wow Grace, is this a scene from Frozen or what! How beautiful and chilly! Seriously this is a magnificent image with beautiful detail and an exceptional wintery appeal. The colors are fantastic and the perspective is perfect. I'm sure Elsa would love it too!
Really an eyecatching piece!

Lol, thank you Marsha! It was super fun and interesting to see so much ice. The height of everything was pretty cool too. Thank you kindly for the six stars too :)

The small towns up in the northern Adirondacks go wild with things like this too,Grace!
( Plenty of their Ice Castles won't completely melt away until late May! : ) )
Your picture of these looks Great,my friend! : )

WOW! Are you sure you didn't paint this? What an absolutely stunning image. I have never seen anything like this. Obviously the ice crystals are beautiful. But, when you add the lovely sky and the peek of the tree behind the crystals makes this an image that is a joy to the viewer's eye. Wow!

Lol!! No painting involved :) Usually I want the sky to look like this but I was really worried that it might be too busy for the ice formations. I think that tree helped a lot in this shot. Thank you very much Donna for the six stars and your nice comments!

Very strong visual impact. I like the almost monochromatic colors. The brown tree just adds that "something " that makes the image go from good to stunning. Great leading lines. This is a nit pick, the very white ice formation just left of the tree is somewhat distracting. I wonder if in post production that could have been toned down just a bit . Very well done.
