The red stands out nicely against the color of the snow. I like seeing how snow layers the tree branches. Looks like quite a bit has fallen. The dark contrast of the bark is also attractive.

well, the first thing we from the UK have to get our head round is that a backyard there and a back yard here are two different things. I am not sure I could fit a canoe into my back yard even if I used every inch of it. I like this photo for its surprise element. The snow on the branches and canoe setting of the dark lines of the picture /judging as a painter/

thank you,,yes some of us in Canada have really big back yards, lol,,this one has a lake in the back as well, really glad you like this,,must be my artistic view as well cause I just thought this was breathtaking thus the photo

That red canoe really draws the eye surrounded by the snow covered branches, this is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, interesting place for a canoe to be stored, this is well composed and presented ! Best wishes to you in the contest!
