It's sad that this interesting creature is endangered! This is lovely digital art! You painted the anteater in a great pose. I like how the branch fades away at the edges of the picture.

This needs six stars but I am out. I saw the giant anteaters up close and personal in the high jungle of Guatemala. This is gorgeous but its not a true giant anteater. The one I got closest to I recall being way larger than described, having enormous claws with which it was tearing apart a rotten log, and having very "shaggy pants" from the dock of the tail to the hock, and a HUGE tail. It was truly enormous and was probably a male -- not sure if this here is a female. There is no way the giant anteaters in Guatemala were only ten pounds. My cat weighs 15 and these things were like the size of large Irish setters -- had to be way over twice the wight of my cat. Looking the weight up on the Internet, it says they weigh from 33 to 50 kg, which is much more along the lines of what I recall. Around 110 pounds. You did a superb job on this anteater variety -- I really like it! Thanks for sharing, Daphne Oberon

Thank you very much for your interesting comments and for your thought of six stars.
The Northern Tamadura is indeed a smaller variant. This animal is common to Southern Mexico. :o)

I thought I had reviewed this before, but I guess not. As with all of your other 'nature' paintings, this is spectacular! I love the golden fur, you made it look so realistic with all the different shades and highlights. The tree branch is also very good, but the animal itself is as real as a photo. Awesome work!

Cleo this is simply stunning!!

What a lovely piece of digital art in fact it looks more like a real oil painting and that is what caught my eye from the start!
The detail in the fur and the colours are again stunning especially in those gorgeous yellows!

Excellent painting you have created. The body proportions, shading, fur are all on point. Very realistic looking painting. The composition is great and color is on point as well. You also did a great job on the tree branch as well. I like how you added fact notes about the Tamandua. Well done.

Beautiful digital art image, Cleo, showing this wonderful endangered animal climbing along a branch. Great use of colours, light and shade and I like how you've painted the fur. Thank you for the interesting notes accompanying this, too. Great composition. Suzanne

This is so well and realistically rendered, Cleo, that I thought at first it was a photograph. Your attention to every detail is evident at every level including the informative notes. So very well done. Ed.

This is a beautiful work of art Cleo! The fur and the facial features looks so realistic and the structure of the body is perfect. I like how his tail is curled around the bark, which also looks very nice.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Incredible work Cleo! The fur details, colors, eye, tongue and the pink pads on his feet are amazing. Details are crisp From tip of his tongue to the tip of his tail. Beautiful work with fine textured background.
One of your best!
Well done!! ;)
