A very nice shot. It seems that birds that frequent open areas like this would be more cautious about intrusions, but you were able to get close enough to recored this beautiful portrait.

A beautiful picture of this grey Heron standing with it's back to you & the sun that is shining on it's yellow legs & feet, the grey plumage ruffled by the breeze on it's back & white on it's head & neck as it gazes down at it's feet sinking in the soft wet sand, looking for something tasty in the shallows. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
