I love all the patterns in this shot of the edge of the melting ice, Grace, with the beads at the tip of the water and the markings in the muddy ground. Very good lighting and focus. Very imaginative composition. Suzanne

What a great shot you captured. It looks like a tide ebbing at the beach. And the focal point being the cool curvy line of round crystals following the edge of the ebbing wave looks like someone had the time between tides, to place the crystals neatly along the edge. Thanks for the notes that describes what is actually going on. Nice catch. Cool

Thank you! I thought they looked like crystal stones too :)

Your welcome. Yes they do looks like crystals perfectly lined up. I've never seen such a array of ice crystals like that. I wonder if there was a mineral shift in the ground that allowed that to happen. Really cool.

An interesting subject that is shown in fine detail. I like the colors but think there is just too much dirt on the right. I would crop it into a vertical.

Cool,Grace!
The scene reminds me of the near flood we had down along the river yesterday as the temperature climbed into the upper sixties and the bright sunshine began to seriously melt the thick snow pack and the weakening ice on the Hudson River!
It's another 'Good Show' of a picture,my friend! : )

Thank you! I've heard there are many areas now in danger of flooding as the ton of snow we've had begins to melt!
