I love Cardinals! This is a good shot as the details are clearly evident in the face and the feathers. Such a pretty red color on this one and a good contest entry, thanks for sharing and good luck!

Love the close up of this fine bird, the little seeds in his mouth put to a stop as he sees you lol,,love the eye contact with that black that makes it really hard sometimes to get that, wonderful background with no distractions in it

Lots of pretty red in this handsome cardinal. His eye is brilliant and shiny with great detailed outline. Even in the sea of red, I can see his individual feathers, even though I am currently on my cell. But even on small screen, his details are apparent. He looks like he either lost a fight or ran into a window with his cracked beak.

This shows every tiny detail in this bird - right down to the little highlights on the feathers. He is placed perfectly in the frame and the background sets him off well.

Beautiful portrait! The focus is tack sharp. plumage is very detailed, catch light in the bird's eye, complimentary background. Nice leading line formed by the bird's back. Very well done.

Ooh, I love the photo. I think the feathers look almost iridescent. Perfect focus even a little seed on its beak. Catchlight in the eye. Dark background shows off the bird very well. Great job.
